Before we recommend anything, we understand your situation, sector, and stakes. No two engagements are the same.
A multidisciplinary practice with two decades of experience supporting foreign companies in Iraq — from logistics to legal, from real estate to technology.
The story began in 2005, in a country that had just opened its doors to a generation of foreign companies — engineering firms, infrastructure contractors, and security partners — all racing to rebuild Iraq's water systems, sewers, hospitals, and schools.
What our founder noticed was striking: every foreign company was lost in the same maze. They needed a place to work from, a permit to operate, equipment to mobilize, a translator to explain, a lawyer to register, a partner to navigate. They were forced to assemble — alone — a chain of five or six different vendors, in a country whose language and bureaucracy they were still learning.
So we began offering one piece at a time. Logistics first. Then equipment. Then legal representation. Then real estate. Then technology. With each contract, with each company we served, we understood the next missing piece. And one quiet realization formed:
What if every piece sat under one roof? What if a foreign CEO, the moment they typed "Iraq" into their browser, could find a single trusted door — one that opens to logistics, law, land, technology, and counsel, all at once?
That is Tigris Gate.
We exist to make Iraq accessible — to remove the friction, the fragmentation, and the uncertainty that keep good companies from good opportunities.
Before we recommend anything, we understand your situation, sector, and stakes. No two engagements are the same.
We bring legal, engineering, logistical, and digital expertise into a single conversation — so you don't have to.
We translate strategy into execution: contracts signed, sites secured, systems running, teams in place.
To become the first name that comes to mind for any international company considering Iraq — the door that opens everything, from the first Google search to the final signed contract.
Behind this vision is a quieter ambition: to transform the experience of entering the Iraqi market from an exhausting search into a single, calm conversation.
Every engagement follows the same disciplined rhythm — but every solution is shaped to fit.
A first conversation, no obligation. We learn your sector, your timeline, your constraints, your concerns.
We map every requirement against Iraqi reality — what's straightforward, what's complex, what's possible, and at what cost.
We assemble the right combination of specialists from our team — legal, engineering, logistical, digital — and assign one point of contact for you.
We execute. From paperwork to physical sites, from server racks to social security registrations — coordinated, documented, on time.
Our practice is led by three founders whose combined disciplines mirror the firm's three core competencies — and supported by a wider team of specialists, administrators, and field staff totaling more than 35.
Founded Tigris Gate on the conviction that foreign companies deserve a single, multidisciplinary partner. Leads engineering oversight, strategic direction, and digital infrastructure.
Heads the legal practice and oversees major engagements. Specializes in corporate structuring, regulatory affairs, and complex commercial matters.
Leads the firm's technology arm. Architects the project accounting and e-archiving systems, and oversees software platforms adapted to the Iraqi business context.
Beyond the founding partners, Tigris Gate is supported by 6 additional senior specialists — covering tax & compliance, real estate, litigation, operations, and infrastructure — and a wider team of more than 25 administrative staff, drivers, technicians, and field operators. A regional director coordinates our operations in Basra, and our entire team is prepared to deploy across all Iraqi governorates for engagements lasting weeks or months.

Four principles shape every engagement.
Clear, accurate guidance aligned with Iraqi laws and institutional practice — without shortcuts or workarounds that expose partners to risk.
Structured analysis. Precise documentation. Disciplined execution. Legal advice must translate into outcomes that hold.
Legal knowledge combined with technical and operational understanding — so the advice reflects the reality of doing business in Iraq, not only the text of the law.
What is shared with us stays with us. Our reputation across two decades is built on discretion as much as on results.
Nearly four thousand years ago, on this same land, a Babylonian king carved into stone what would become humanity's oldest known legal code — the laws of Hammurabi.
"To bring about justice in the land," the inscription read, "so that the strong should not harm the weak." The principle has not aged. Foreign companies entering Iraq today stand in an asymmetry: unfamiliar terrain, unfamiliar rules, unfamiliar language. Our work, in its quietest essence, is to make that asymmetry survivable — through clarity, documentation, and a partner who knows the ground.
We carry this land as inheritance. And as obligation.
